Dear Parents
Following the Governmental announcement from the Ministry of Education that schools will open on Monday, February 1st as previously announced, Casa Dei Bambini Montessori will also open in line with that announcement.
We are continuing the measures to mitigate the risks of transmission of Covid-19 within the school as outlined in the previous letter. This includes
- Hand-washing and hygiene
- No admittance to anyone parent/carer within the building other than students
- Closure of school at 12.30 for ALL classes for the remainder of Block 3. This gives us a chance to deep clean all classrooms and get ready for the next day.
- Mandatory Mask wearing/ visor in class at all times on school property for all Preschool-aged children and above. Please inform your teacher if you would like a visor provided.
- Mandatory mask wearing for parents at drop off.
We note this may disappoint some parents who wish to keep children in school up to 14.30. We want to avoid having to handle lunches, naptimes, and after school activities. We will ensure all learning happens within those school hours.
Please note that Zambia is experiencing high transmission rates in the Community and this is still highly concerning for us all.
Should you or your family members fall ill, please refer to sick policy guidelines. If you exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms, please inform the school straight away. If you come into contact with someone who has tested positive, please ensure that you follow the recommended guidelines.
We wish to remain open for the remainder of the school year and minimize risks of Covid-19 transmission as much as possible. We will continue to assess the situation.

As always you can email us at any time should you have any questions.
Kind Regards
